CSA + Memberships

Make the farm part of your season.

There are a lot of ways to experience Wendland Family Farm.

You can bring home the harvest.

Fill your table with fresh vegetables and herbs.

Keep locally grown flowers in your home throughout the season.

Spend more time in the flower field.

Learn practical skills around the farm table.

Or give your children a place to plant, explore, create, and grow.

Our CSA and Seasonal Memberships were created for the people who want more than a single visit to the farm.

They're an invitation to come back.

To experience the seasons as they change.

To know where something came from.

And to make Wendland Family Farm a small part of your family's year.

Two Ways To Grow With Us

Not every membership works the same way.

We've divided our offerings into two simple groups.

Vegetable and herb CSA share.

CSA Memberships

Bring the farm home.

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture.

You reserve a portion of the coming harvest in advance, and when the growing season arrives, we grow and harvest your share.

Choose vegetables and herbs.

Choose flowers.

Or choose both.

CSA Memberships are for people who want to receive something grown on the farm throughout the season.

Seasonal Memberships

Come back. Learn more. Experience the season with us.

Seasonal Memberships are built around returning to the farm throughout the year.

Depending on the membership, that might mean flowers and U-Picks, learning around the workshop table, or giving your children an entire season of hands-on agricultural experiences.

Seasonal Memberships are for people who want to do, learn, experience, and return throughout the season.

CSA Memberships

Your share of the season.

Community Supported Agriculture creates a direct relationship between a farm and the people it feeds.

Instead of waiting until harvest and hoping what you want is available, CSA members reserve their share before the growing season begins.

That early commitment matters to a small farm.

CSA memberships help us purchase seeds, bulbs, plants, compost, supplies, and many of the things required to prepare for another growing season.

Then we do the growing.

And when the harvest begins, you get to enjoy the result.

It's one of the most direct ways you can support Wendland Family Farm—and one of our favorite ways to share what we grow.

Choose Your Kind Of Harvest

You don't have to choose between a giant one-size-fits-all CSA and nothing at all.

We've created several ways to participate so you can choose what your family will actually enjoy.

Vegetable + Herb CSA

For the family who wants fresh, locally grown food on the table.

Experience a changing harvest of seasonal vegetables and culinary herbs grown right here at Wendland Family Farm.

What comes home changes as the garden changes—which means your share gives you a true taste of the growing season.

Flower CSA

For the person who believes there should probably always be flowers on the table.

Our Flower CSA follows the progression of the flower field, allowing members to experience different flowers as the season unfolds.

Choose one portion of the flower season or experience both.

Flowers + Food

Can't choose?

Good.

You don't have to.

Combination CSA options allow you to enjoy fresh vegetables and herbs and locally grown flowers during the season.

The Full Farm CSA

For the person who looks at all of the above and says:

Yes. That. All of it.

The Full Farm CSA is our most complete harvest membership, combining vegetables, herbs, and the flower season into one way to experience what we're growing.

Freshly harvest swiss chard.

What Does Joining A CSA Really Mean?

Joining a CSA is a little different from placing a normal order.

You're not purchasing a predetermined box of identical products that came from a warehouse.

You're joining a growing season.

There will be sunshine.

There will be rain.

There will probably be weeks when we desperately wish there were a little more of one and a little less of the other.

Some crops will thrive.

Some varieties may surprise us.

Flowers will bloom when they're ready.

Vegetables will ripen according to the season.

That's farming.

And that's part of the beauty of a CSA.

Rather than forcing the farm to follow a catalog or grocery-store model, your share reflects what's actually happening in the field.

Local Pickup. Grown Right Here.

CSA memberships are created for our local community and picked up directly from Wendland Family Farm.

As each membership season approaches, members receive the information they need about pickup timing and instructions.

Because every growing season is different, exact dates and schedules are provided with the current membership rather than permanently listed here.

That lets the farm follow the season instead of pretending Mother Nature has agreed to follow our calendar.

Fall harvests.

Why Join a CSA?

There are easier ways to buy groceries.

And there are certainly easier ways to buy flowers.

But CSA isn't really about convenience.

It's about connection.

You know the farm growing your food.

You know where your flowers came from.

You experience foods and varieties you might not otherwise bring home.

You begin noticing what's actually in season.

And instead of your food or flowers passing anonymously through a long supply chain, there's a farmer on the other side of them.

CSA members become part of the rhythm of the farm.

We grow.

We harvest.

You take it home.

And the season unfolds from there.

Seasonal Memberships

Come back. Learn more. Experience the season with us.

Sometimes one afternoon at the farm isn't enough.

Our Seasonal Memberships are for people who want Wendland Family Farm to become part of their year.

Instead of receiving a share of the harvest like a CSA member, Seasonal Members participate in a collection of experiences throughout the growing season.

Some are designed for flower lovers.

Some for people who want to learn.

And some for little growers who would happily spend the entire season with dirt under their fingernails.

Wendland Family Farm Season Pass

For the person who wants more farm in their year.

The Season Pass is our broadest farm-experience membership.

It's designed for people who love fresh flowers, U-Picks, farm events, and simply having another reason to come back to Wendland Family Farm throughout the growing season.

Rather than choosing only one way to experience the farm, Season Pass holders receive a collection of farm favorites and member benefits bundled into one season.

It's for the person who doesn't just want to visit once.

They want the farm to become one of their places.

Buckets of autumn inspired znnias.

Harvest & Home

Grow it. Gather it. Preserve it. Bring it home.

Harvest & Home is for the person who wants to know what to do with the things we grow.

Throughout the season, we gather around the table for hands-on workshops inspired by the garden, harvest, and home.

Herbs.

Edible flowers.

Pesto.

Salsa.

Pickling.

Preserving.

Pressed and dried flowers.

Simmer pots.

And other projects inspired by what's growing at the farm.

The goal isn't simply to make something and go home.

It's to learn skills you can use again.

Little Bloomers

Where little hands explore, create, plant, and grow.

Little Bloomers is our farm and nature program created especially for our youngest growers.

Children experience flowers, vegetables, herbs, pollinators, gardens, and the changing seasons through hands-on, age-appropriate activities.

They plant.

Explore.

Create.

Get dirty.

Ask questions.

And begin understanding that the food and flowers around them started somewhere.

For Little Bloomers, that somewhere gets to be a real farm.

Junior Flower Farmers

Real farm. Real learning.

Junior Flower Farmers takes hands-on agricultural education a little deeper.

Created for older children who are ready to do more themselves, the program gives young growers opportunities to plant, harvest, experiment, problem-solve, create, and understand how a small farm actually works.

And despite the name, this isn't only about flowers.

Vegetables.

Herbs.

Soil.

Pollinators.

Plant life cycles.

Tools.

Weather.

Harvesting.

Agriculture.

The farm becomes the classroom—and children get to learn by actually doing.

CSA Or Seasonal Membership?

Still unsure?

Here's the easiest way to think about it.

CSA = Bring the farm home.

You're reserving a share of something we're growing—vegetables, herbs, flowers, or a combination.

Seasonal Membership = Come experience the farm.

You're reserving opportunities to return, participate, learn, pick, create, or explore throughout the season.

And yes—you can absolutely be both.

Someone could have a Vegetable + Herb CSA for the kitchen and Little Bloomers for their child.

They're different ways of making the farm part of your year.

Harvest of seasonal produce at Wendland Family Farm

Why Join Early?

Farming begins long before the first bouquet is cut or tomato is harvested.

Seeds are ordered.

Bulbs and plants are purchased.

Beds are prepared.

Compost and soil amendments are added.

Supplies are gathered.

Plans are made.

And a tremendous amount of growing happens before there's anything ready to sell.

When you purchase a CSA or Seasonal Membership in advance, you're doing more than reserving something for later.

You're helping provide some of the resources that allow another growing season to begin.

In return, you've already made yourself part of what's coming.

For a small family farm, that early support matters enormously.

Memberships Follow The Farm

We plan carefully.

We plant intentionally.

And then we farm.

Weather changes.

Crops respond differently from one season to another.

Bloom times shift.

Harvests fluctuate.

And occasionally the farm has plans of its own.

Joining Wendland Family Farm means understanding that agriculture is seasonal by nature.

Specific dates, offerings, inclusions, availability, pickup details, and other information are provided with each current membership so you know exactly what applies to the season you're purchasing.

For additional information about cancellations, transfers, weather, CSA pickups, seasonality, and visiting the farm, please review our Farm Guidelines.

A Farm You Can Belong To

We want Wendland Family Farm to be more than somewhere you stop once, buy something, and leave.

We want you to recognize the fields when you come back.

To notice when the seasons change.

To know when the peonies give way to summer flowers.

To watch your child become more confident in the garden.

To learn something around our table and use it later in your own kitchen.

To carry home vegetables you know were harvested close to where you're standing.

To walk into the flower field and remember what it looked like the last time you were here.

That's what these memberships are really about.

Connection.

To your farmer.

To your food.

To the land.

To the seasons.

And to the community growing around all of it.

Make the farm part of your season.

Grown with purpose. Shared with gratitude.
