Welcome to Wendland Family Farm! We’re a small, family-run farm nestled in West Point, Iowa, and every corner of this land reflects our love for flowers, food, faith, family, and the earth itself. What began as a simple dream—to grow something beautiful—has blossomed into so much more. This farm is a classroom for our kids, a gathering place for neighbors, and a space where every day brings new reasons to smile.

At the heart of our farm is our Flower Farm, where seasonal cut flowers are grown with care, intention, and respect for the earth. We follow sustainable, regenerative practices and live by our core values: making friends, taking pride in our work, showing up with joy, and giving more than we get. These values aren’t just words—they’re woven into every stem we plant and every bouquet we create. From hand-tying flowers to hosting U-Pick Events, DIY Flower Bar gatherings, and workshops, we aim to create spaces where visitors can slow down, reconnect with nature, and experience the quiet joy of flowers.

We’re deeply passionate about agriculture—from protecting and enriching our soil to supporting pollinators that make life on the farm possible. Every decision we make is guided by a commitment to soil conservation, regenerative farming, and creating a habitat where bees, butterflies, and other pollinators can thrive. Healthy soil and thriving pollinators aren’t just good for the farm—they’re essential to the health of our environment and the communities we serve.

Our Market Garden produces fresh, organic vegetables during the warm months, and come fall, our Pumpkin Patch bursts with life. While the patch itself is not open to the public, you can enjoy the colorful display of pumpkins, gourds, and decorative corn from afar and pick up your favorites at the Farm Stand. It’s a season full of beauty, harvest, and the simple joys of fall on the farm.

Family is the heartbeat of everything we do. As a homeschooling family, the farm is our classroom, playground, and inspiration. Our kids grow up with muddy boots, sun-kissed faces, and hands full of flowers, learning that hard work, curiosity, and creativity matter just as much as any lesson in a book. Through every chore, harvest, and bouquet, we model faith, joy, generosity, and perseverance—because how we do one thing is how we do everything.

Life on the farm is never perfect—there are rainy days, stubborn weeds, and lessons in patience—but it’s full of magic, laughter, and growth. Hey there! I'm Erica

Your local flower farmer, spreading joy one bloom at a time.

Your tractor-driving, dirt-moving, stem-slinging local flower farmer.

I’m passionate about agriculture, regenerative farming, soil conservation, and saving the pollinators (nerd alert). I’ve spent many seasons growing and tending blooms, learning the ins and outs of cut flower farming along the way. Every stem I grow carries care, knowledge, and a whole lot of love.

Fresh flowers are little pockets of joy. They turn a kitchen counter into a spot of sunshine, make bleacher-bound hours a bit sweeter, and offer a quiet moment of calm in the middle of a busy day. They’re a small, beautiful reminder that life has bright spots, even in the chaos.

Flowers celebrate the everyday wins, the little pauses, and the simple joys—you deserve that bit of beauty, and I’m here to share it with you.

Crocs and socks are my jam, cut-off tees, messy buns, and funny tan lines are my uniform. Music fuels me—currently obsessed with Forrest Frank on repeat. I’m wild, free, and full of crazy ideas, and don’t even think about telling me I can’t do something—I’ll prove you wrong. Stubborn, determined, fueled by caffeine and zero sleep, I believe on the farm there’s no “girls’ work”—all work is hard work, and we do it with heart.
