Wendland Family Farm offers custom flower orders using fresh, seasonal flowers grown right here on our farm near West Point, Iowa.
Our custom work isn't traditional florist work built from a catalog of flowers available year-round.
We start with your occasion.
We listen to what you're looking for.
Then we create with what the season is growing beautifully.

Custom Flower Arrangements
Something created especially for the occasion.
Need something larger or more personalized than one of our standard farm-grown flower offerings?
Custom flower arrangements are available for a variety of occasions, including birthdays, anniversaries, milestones, celebrations, thank-yous, get-well wishes, thinking-of-you gifts, sympathy, memorials, and other meaningful moments.
Custom flower orders start at $75.
You're welcome to share your general color palette, occasion, budget, size, and what you have in mind.
We'll use those details as inspiration while designing with what's naturally blooming at Wendland Family Farm.
Specific flower varieties and colors cannot be guaranteed.
That's intentional.
Your flowers won't be created from a catalog.
They'll be created from the season.
Sympathy + Memorial Flowers
When flowers need to say what words can't.
Some of the most meaningful flower orders we create are for families walking through loss.
Wendland Family Farm offers farm-grown flowers for funerals, memorial services, sympathy gifts, and families who simply need to know someone is thinking about them.
Depending on your needs and seasonal availability, we may create:

Flowers for a funeral or memorial service

Other simple, meaningful farm-grown flower pieces
When available, flowers may also be delivered directly to a local funeral home or recipient for an additional delivery fee.
We do not offer standing funeral sprays.
If you're requesting flowers for a funeral or memorial, please provide the funeral home, name of the deceased, service date and time when known, and any other information that may help us coordinate your order.
We understand these orders aren't always something you can plan weeks ahead.
Contact us as soon as you're able, and we'll be honest about what the farm, flowers, and our schedule can accommodate.
Farm-Fresh Wedding Flowers
For couples who want their wedding flowers to look like they came from a flower farm—because they did.
Wendland Family Farm accepts a limited number of flower orders for small, relaxed weddings during our growing season.
Our wedding flowers are intentionally different from traditional full-service wedding flower design.
We're a flower farm.
And that's exactly what makes them special.
Depending on your needs, we may be able to create:

Your flowers will reflect what's naturally blooming at Wendland Family Farm around your wedding date.
You're welcome to share your general color palette and the feeling you're hoping for, and we'll use the season as our guide.
If you need exact flower varieties, highly specific recreations, elaborate installations, large ceremony pieces, or full-service wedding flower design and setup, we may not be the right fit.
But if you love the idea of carrying flowers grown just down the road and gathered from what's blooming that week, we may be exactly what you're looking for.

Grown With the Season
Custom doesn't mean every flower is available on demand.
Everything begins in the field.
The flowers available in May will be different from the flowers blooming in July.
And July won't look like September.
That's part of what makes locally grown flowers special.
You're welcome to request a general color palette, style, or feeling. We'll do our best to work toward your vision using what's seasonally available.
Specific flowers, varieties, and colors cannot be guaranteed.
Instead, we'll choose from the flowers blooming beautifully and ready to harvest at the time of your order.
Your custom flowers will look like the season they came from.
How Custom Flower Orders Work
1. Tell us what you need.
Complete the Custom Flower Order Request below.
Tell us about your occasion, requested date, approximate budget, what you need, general color preferences, and whether you're planning to pick up or need local delivery.
2. We'll review your request.
We'll consider your requested date, the size and type of order, expected seasonal flower availability, and our farm schedule.
Submitting a request does not guarantee availability.
3. We'll contact you.
If we're able to accommodate your request, we'll reach out to discuss the details and provide or confirm pricing.
We may also ask a few additional questions before accepting the order.
4. Reserve your order with a $75 deposit.
Once we've confirmed that we can accommodate your custom order, a $75 deposit is required to reserve it.
Your deposit is applied toward the final cost of your flowers.
Please do not purchase a Custom Flower Order Deposit until Wendland Family Farm has confirmed your request.
Once your order is accepted and reserved, the deposit is non-refundable.
5. We'll harvest + create.
Then it's our turn.
We'll gather from what's blooming beautifully at the farm and create your flowers for the agreed-upon date.
Any remaining balance must be paid according to the terms provided with your order.
Pricing
Custom flower orders start at $75.
Final pricing depends on what you're requesting, including the size and number of arrangements, flower quantity, vessels, design needs, seasonal availability, and other details specific to your order.
Your $75 deposit is applied toward your final order total.
For example, if your custom order total is $175 and you've already paid your $75 deposit, your remaining balance would be $100.
Larger orders, multiple arrangements, wedding flowers, and other more involved requests will be quoted individually.
Pickup + Local Delivery
Farm Pickup — Free
Farm pickup at Wendland Family Farm near West Point, Iowa is our primary and preferred fulfillment option.
When pickup isn't practical, local delivery may be available for an additional fee.
Local Delivery — within 10 miles: $10
Extended Local Delivery — up to approximately 20 miles/25 minutes: $20
Delivery can be especially helpful for funeral homes, sympathy orders, illness, gifts, and other circumstances when the recipient isn't able to pick up their flowers.
Delivery is subject to availability and our farm schedule.
If you're unsure whether an address falls within our delivery area, include the address with your request and we'll let you know.

General color and style requests are welcomed
Specific flower varieties and colors cannot be guaranteed
Custom orders are subject to flower availability and our farm schedule
At least 24 hours' notice is required for custom orders
Larger orders and weddings require additional notice
Earlier requests give us more opportunity to plan
Sympathy and funeral requests will be accommodated on shorter notice when possible
Standing funeral sprays are not offered
Small farm-fresh wedding flower orders are accepted on a limited basis
We do not offer traditional full-service wedding flower design
Farm pickup is free
Local delivery may be available for an additional fee
Submitting a request does not guarantee availability
Your order is not reserved until we've confirmed it and the required deposit has been paid
