Bring Your Clients to the Farm

Professional photographers are welcome at Wendland Family Farm with advance booking.
​
We love seeing different photographers interpret this place through their own style, perspective, and creativity.
​
When you reserve photography access, you're bringing your own client and providing your own photography services. We're simply providing access to the farm and its available seasonal settings.
​
Depending on the time of year and what's happening on the farm, available locations may include flower fields, gardens, grasses, seasonal crops, farm landscapes, pumpkins, and other areas of the property.
​
Because this is an active agricultural operation, photography access is scheduled so we can coordinate farm work, U-Picks, events, harvesting, irrigation, and other activities happening behind the scenes.
​
That helps us give photographers room to create while protecting the crops that make these photographs possible.

You don't need to already have a photographer to fall in love with the idea of having photographs taken at the farm.

Throughout the season, we may work with professional photographers who know the property and photograph clients here.
​
We may also host seasonal mini sessions or other special photography opportunities when the farm is especially beautiful.
If you have a photographer you already love, they can reserve photography access.
If you don't, reach out and we'll help point you toward current opportunities or photographers who may be a good fit.

Follow The Season
What's Blooming Matters

If you're dreaming of photographs with a particular flower, crop, color, or look, seasonality matters.
A working farm doesn't look exactly the same from May through October—and we wouldn't want it to.
​
Flowers bloom on their own timelines.
Weather changes things.
Crops are harvested.
Fields transition.
Some weeks are overflowing.
Other weeks are quieter.
​
Because of that, we cannot guarantee a particular flower variety, crop, bloom stage, field appearance, or color palette for a photography session.
​
What we can promise is that we'll communicate what the farm is looking like and which areas are appropriate for photography when your session arrives.
​
If your heart is set on a particular seasonal look, ask before booking.
We'll help you determine the best general time to aim for it while remembering that Mother Nature gets the final vote.
When The Farm Is Showing Off

A particular flower reaches peak bloom.

When that happens, we may offer special photography access, seasonal sessions, mini-session opportunities, or collaborations with professional photographers.

These offerings aren't necessarily the same every year.

We love thoughtful collaborations that make sense for the farm and the people involved.

Commercial projects, larger productions, styled shoots, product photography, and other non-standard photography uses should be discussed with us in advance so we can determine access, timing, locations, and what the project requires.

A Few Things Before You Bring The Camera
Photography Guidelines
​
This is a working farm first, and protecting the land, crops, visitors, and people who work here allows us to continue sharing it.
​
Professional photography must be scheduled in advance.
​
Please remain within designated photography areas and follow all farm signage and instructions.
Children must be supervised at all times.
Please do not pick, cut, move, bend, or damage flowers, plants, crops, or farm materials unless your specific experience includes permission to do so.
Do not enter production beds or restricted areas.
Props must be approved when they could affect the property or crops.
No confetti, glitter, smoke bombs, or other materials that may remain on the farm or damage plants.
Drone use is not permitted unless specifically approved in advance.
Please respect other visitors, farm activities, private areas, and scheduled events.
Photography access does not guarantee exclusive use of the entire farm unless specifically included in your reservation.
Weather and farm conditions may require us to adjust available locations or reschedule access when conditions are unsafe.

A Note About The Farm
We want your photographs to be beautiful.
But we also want them to be honest.
​
Wendland Family Farm isn't a manicured photography venue pretending to be a farm.
It is a farm.
​
There may be irrigation lines.
A wheelbarrow might be sitting somewhere it wasn't yesterday.
You may hear equipment.
There might be dirt on the path.
A crop may have just been harvested.
Something might be growing beautifully three rows away from something having a considerably harder week.
​
That's real agriculture.
And we think there's something pretty wonderful about allowing that reality to become part of the photographs.
​
Come expecting beauty.
Just don't expect perfection.
We don't grow much of that around here.
