We're grateful you're here and grateful you've chosen to support our family farm.
​
Wendland Family Farm is a working farm—not a perfectly manicured venue. You'll find flowers growing, vegetables being harvested, pollinators working, children helping, equipment moving, weeds occasionally winning, and plenty of dirt.
That's part of the experience.
​
Whether you're joining a CSA, visiting for a U-Pick, attending a workshop, participating in one of our children's programs, shopping the farm, or simply spending time with us, these guidelines help us care for our visitors, our crops, and the land.
Please review the information below before purchasing or visiting.
Reservations, Payments & Cancellations
​
Unless otherwise stated on the individual product or event listing, reservations, memberships, tickets, and CSA shares must be paid in full at the time of purchase.
​
Because crops, materials, staffing, and space are planned in advance, purchases are generally non-refundable unless Wendland Family Farm cancels an experience and cannot provide a reasonable alternative.
Transfers
​
Can't make it?
​
Many tickets and reservations may be transferred to a friend or family member unless otherwise stated in the individual listing. Have your guest check in using the original purchaser's name.
​
CSA shares may also be picked up by another person on your behalf.
Weather & Farm Conditions
​
Farming happens outdoors, and Mother Nature gets a vote.
​
Weather, crop availability, bloom times, field conditions, and harvest schedules may require us to adjust dates, times, locations, or offerings.
​
If conditions are unsafe, we may delay, reschedule, relocate, modify, or cancel an activity.
​
We'll communicate important changes as soon as reasonably possible.
Communication
​
Important information regarding CSA pickups, U-Picks, workshops, memberships, events, and weather-related changes will be communicated through the contact information provided at booking.
​
Please make sure your email address is entered correctly and check spam or promotions folders during the season.
Visiting a Working Farm
​
Wendland Family Farm is an active agricultural property.
​
Natural and agricultural environments may include uneven ground, mud, holes, plants, roots, insects, pollen, wildlife, tools, irrigation equipment, farm equipment, changing weather, and other conditions associated with a working farm.
​
Please use good judgment and follow all posted signs and instructions while visiting.
​
We recommend:

A hat on hot or sunny days
Visitors are responsible for supervising children in their care at all times.

Some activities may require a separate waiver or acknowledgement before participation.
Farm Etiquette
​
We want Wendland Family Farm to remain a welcoming place for everyone while protecting the crops and land that make these experiences possible.
​
While visiting:

Stay within designated visitor areas.

Please do not enter production beds or restricted areas unless invited.

Supervise children at all times.

Follow signs and farm instructions.

Do not pick flowers, produce, herbs, or other crops unless they are included in your experience.

Use provided harvesting tools appropriately.

Leave plants, irrigation, equipment, wildlife, and pollinator habitat undisturbed.

Dispose of trash in designated areas.
-
Be respectful of other visitors and neighboring properties.

Smoking and vaping are not permitted in visitor or growing areas.

Pets should remain home unless an event specifically states otherwise.

Service animals are handled in accordance with applicable law.
This is our family farm and our workplace as well as a place we love sharing with you. Thank you for treating it with care.
CSA Memberships

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture.
​
When you purchase a Wendland Family Farm CSA, you're reserving a share of what we grow for the season.
​
Our CSA offerings may include flower shares, vegetable + herb shares, or combinations of farm-grown products depending on the membership purchased.
CSA Pickups
​
Pickup dates, locations, and windows will be provided with your CSA information.
​
If you're unable to pick up your share, you may send someone in your place.
​
Because we're working with fresh, perishable products, shares that aren't collected during the designated pickup period may be forfeited unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
Seasonality
​
CSA members are sharing in a real growing season.
​
Specific varieties, colors, quantities, and harvest timing will change throughout the year based on weather and crop performance.
​
That's part of what makes a CSA special—you get to experience the farm as the season unfolds.
If circumstances require a significant schedule change, we'll communicate directly with members.
U-Pick Flowers
​
U-Picks are one of our favorite ways to share the farm.
​
Ticket options, container sizes, dates, hours, and what is included will be listed with each U-Pick offering.
​
Please harvest only within designated U-Pick areas and follow harvesting instructions provided at check-in.​
​During Your U-Pick
​

Stay within designated picking areas.

Children must remain supervised.
-
Cut only flowers included in the U-Pick.
-
Use farm-provided or approved cutting tools safely.
-
Do not pull entire plants from the ground.
-
Please leave unopened or restricted crops alone when instructed.
-
Be mindful of other visitors, pollinators, and growing plants.
U-Picks are weather and crop dependent. We may adjust availability when necessary to protect visitors or the field.
Personal snapshots during your visit are welcome.
Professional or styled photography sessions must follow our photography guidelines.
Workshops & Farm Experiences
​
Wendland Family Farm offers seasonal educational and hands-on experiences for adults and families.
​
Offerings may include Harvest & Home workshops, gardening and agricultural education, flower workshops, preserving and seasonal skills, and other farm-based experiences.
​
Space may be limited and advance registration may be required.
​
Some workshops include supplies or harvested farm products. Because those materials are prepared ahead of time, workshop registrations are generally non-refundable but may be transferable unless otherwise stated.
Little Bloomers & Junior Flower Farmers
​
Our children's farm programs are designed to help kids experience agriculture through hands-on learning.
​
Children may plant, harvest, explore, create, observe pollinators, learn about plants and soil, and participate in age-appropriate farm activities.
​
A parent or responsible adult must follow the supervision requirements listed for the specific program.
​
Children should arrive dressed for a real farm. Dirt, grass, water, mud, and occasionally very enthusiastic bugs are all possibilities.
​
Program activities may change depending on weather, crop conditions, and what is happening on the farm that week.
Photography
​
Personal photography during normal farm visits is welcome unless otherwise posted.
​
Professional photography, client sessions, mini sessions, styled shoots, or use of the farm as a commercial photography location require advance permission or a photography reservation when applicable.
​
Please:

Remain within approved areas.

Do not move farm equipment, signage, plants, or structures without permission.

Do not enter production beds.
-
Do not cut or pick crops unless included with your reservation.

Avoid props or materials that could damage or litter the property.
Drones require prior approval.
​
Weather-related photography policies will be provided with the individual booking.
Private Groups, Tours & Field Trips
​
Farm tours, educational groups, field trips, private gatherings, and other group experiences must be arranged in advance.
Group leaders are responsible for providing appropriate supervision for minors and helping participants follow farm guidelines.
​
Because this is a working farm, the areas available for tours and groups may change throughout the season.
Farm-Fresh Flowers, Produce & Herbs
​
Everything grown here follows the rhythm of the season.
​
Flowers, vegetables, herbs, seedlings, and other fresh farm products naturally vary in size, shape, color, availability, and appearance.
​
That's one of the beautiful things about buying directly from a farm.
​
Fresh and perishable products are generally not eligible for returns or refunds after pickup or delivery. If there is ever a genuine problem with something you receive, please contact us promptly so we can make it right when appropriate.
Farm Pantry & Seasonal Goods
​
Farm Pantry and Harvest & Home products are made or curated in small batches and may change throughout the year based on what we're growing, harvesting, drying, preserving, and creating.
​
Please read ingredient labels carefully before purchasing or consuming food products, particularly if you or someone in your household has food allergies or sensitivities.
​
Storage and use instructions should be followed as provided on individual products.
Seeds, Seedlings & Plants
​
Plants are living things, and their success after leaving the farm depends on weather, planting conditions, watering, soil, care, pests, and many other factors outside our control.
​
We cannot guarantee plant performance after purchase.
​
Seed germination can also vary depending on storage, planting conditions, weather, soil, moisture, and care.
​
We are always happy to share growing guidance when we can.
Memberships & Season Passes
​
Wendland Family Farm may offer seasonal memberships and passes that provide access to specific experiences or benefits throughout the season.
​
Benefits, reservation requirements, exclusions, availability, and valid dates are determined by the individual membership purchased.
​
Membership benefits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for products or experiences not included in that membership.
​
Please refer to the individual membership listing for exactly what is included.
Alcohol
​
Some adult workshops or private experiences may permit guests to bring alcoholic beverages when specifically stated.
​
Wendland Family Farm does not sell or serve alcohol.
​
Guests are responsible for complying with applicable laws, drinking responsibly, and arranging safe transportation.
​
Alcohol is not permitted unless specifically allowed for that event.

This farm is where we grow flowers and food, raise our family, care for the soil, teach, experiment, work, and dream.

Opening it to others is something we don't take lightly.
​
Every CSA member, U-Pick visitor, workshop guest, child learning in the field, customer buying something we grew, and family spending an afternoon here becomes a small part of the story of Wendland Family Farm.
