Welcome to Little Bloomers—Wendland Family Farm’s signature farm and nature program created especially for our youngest growers.
Throughout eight hands-on workshops, Little Bloomers will experience the farm through age-appropriate activities centered around flowers, gardens, vegetables, herbs, pollinators, and the changing seasons.
We’ll plant seeds, dig in the dirt, explore the flower field, create nature-inspired projects, discover the tiny creatures that help our gardens grow, and learn where our food and flowers come from.
But Little Bloomers is about more than what we grow.
It’s about giving children a place to be curious, get their hands dirty, try something new, and experience the wonder of the natural world firsthand.
Because every flower begins with a tiny seed—and so does every little learner.

WHAT WILL LITTLE BLOOMERS EXPLORE?
Every workshop brings a new adventure to the farm.
Throughout the season, children will explore topics such as:

Activities are designed specifically for ages 2–7, with an emphasis on hands-on exploration, sensory learning, creativity, movement, and fun.
Parents or caregivers should plan to stay and participate alongside their Little Bloomer as needed.
MORE THAN A WORKSHOP
Little Bloomers isn't simply a children's activity.
It's a season spent outside.
It's muddy boots and tiny hands planting seeds.
It's discovering a bee covered in pollen, pulling a vegetable from the soil, smelling an herb for the first time, and watching something they planted begin to grow.
It's a place where children can slow down, explore, ask questions, create, and build confidence through real experiences on the farm.
Over eight workshops, they'll watch the farm change right alongside them—from the first signs of spring through the abundance of summer and into fall.
And hopefully, when the season is over, they'll leave with more than the projects they made and plants they grew.
They'll leave with memories of growing up at the flower farm.
