Some projects are planted quietly. They take root long before they are ever shared.

Where We Grow: The Stories Behind The Adventures is one of those projects.
After years of writing, illustrating, revising, and letting the stories unfold at their own pace, the complete four-collection children’s series is now finished and available for pre-order through Wendland Family Farm.
This collection is the heart of everything we do here. It is the story beneath the story — the roots that hold the adventures together.

A Children’s Collection Rooted in Real Life
These books were written to be read slowly.
They are meant to be shared at bedtime, revisited across seasons, and kept close — the kind of stories that live on a shelf, but also in a family’s rhythm.
Set at Wendland Family Farm, the stories follow siblings Oliver and Harper as they grow alongside flowers, family, faith, and the land itself. Each collection builds on the last, forming a complete arc that honors:
Family and generational roots
The changing seasons
Curiosity, kindness, and courage
The quiet work of becoming
This is not a fast series. It’s an intentional one.

The Four Titles in the Complete Collection
Each collection is released individually as a hardcover, allowing families to collect them over time — or begin with the full set.
🌱Collection 1: Where We Grow
The beginning. This book introduces Wendland Family Farm, Oliver and Harper, and the idea that growth happens everywhere — in the soil, in the woods, and in the heart.

Collection 2: Where Our Family Grew
A deeper look at family and legacy. This collection weaves together the stories of Mama, Daddy, Grandpa, Mimi, and Papa Gale — showing how love and learning are passed down through generations.

Collection 3: The Seasons That Grow Us
Spring, summer, fall, and winter become teachers. Each season offers its own lessons about patience, joy, gratitude, and rest.

Collection 4: Where Our Hearts Grow
The culmination. This final collection reflects on kindness, faith, words, dreams, and the small moments that shape a life — tying all four books together into one complete story.

Together, these titles form Where We Grow: The Stories Behind The Adventures — the foundation for all future Oliver & Harper adventures.
An Heirloom Piece for the Farm
My hope is that this collection becomes the heirloom product of Wendland Family Farm.
Not just something you buy —but something you keep.
These books represent what the farm stands for: slow work, deep roots, and meaningful growth. They are the truest expression of our story, created with intention and care from start to finish.

Fulfilling orders from the farm matters deeply to me. It keeps this work personal, sustainable, and rooted — carried from our hands to yours the same way these stories were created.
If you’d like a copy sooner, the books are also available on Amazon, though ordering directly through the farm is always my preferred path.

A Quiet Companion to the Collection
If you’re curious about the story behind the farm itself, my memoir —The Bloom That Built Me: Faith, Family, and the Flowers That Grew a Dream — lives alongside this children’s collection.
While the children’s books are written for families and young readers, the memoir shares the adult story beneath it all: the faith, work, and persistence that built Wendland Family Farm.

This Is Where We Grow
These stories have been a long time in the making.
They are finally ready to be shared — slowly, intentionally, and with care.
If they feel like something you want to grow with, they’re waiting quietly at the farm.
Grow curious. Grow kind. Grow rooted.
