What to Expect from a Flower Subscription

A guide for new subscribers at Wendland Family Farm

A fresh cut summer bouquet featuring zinnias, cosmos, basil, and assorted farm-grown blooms in bright, cheerful colors.

If you’ve ever dreamed of having fresh, locally grown flowers brighten your home week after week, a flower subscription is one of the easiest (and happiest!) ways to make that happen. At Wendland Family Farm, our subscriptions are built with intention: seasonal beauty, high-quality stems, and a simple pickup routine that fits real life. Whether you're a first-time subscriber or thinking about joining next season, here’s exactly what you can expect.

A Weekly Bouquet Crafted with Care - The Wendland Family Farm Flower Subscription

Every subscription bouquet is hand-designed using whatever is blooming most abundantly in our fields that week. Depending on the season, you might receive:

  • Spring’s earliest blooms

  • Armfuls of summer color — zinnias, sunflowers, basil, rudbeckia

  • Soft, moody autumn textures from dahlias to grasses

No two bouquets are ever the same, and that’s the magic.

Seasonal Variety — Never Repetitive, Always Fresh

Our fields shift constantly throughout the growing season, and your bouquets reflect that natural rhythm. You’ll notice:

  • Certain flowers appear for only a few weeks

  • Weather can influence color palettes

  • Some weeks are bold and bright; others are soft and romantic

Your subscription is a front-row seat to the changing farm landscape.

Simple, Consistent Pickup

We keep pickup easy and predictable. Subscriptions are available from:

  • Farm Stand in Town (honor-system model)

  • On-Farm Pickup (Saturdays 9 AM - 11 AM)

  • West Point Farmers Market (Sundays 9 AM - 12 PM)

  • Special arrangements during heat waves or stormy weeks

Each bouquet will be clearly labeled so pickup is fast and smooth. If you’re traveling, we’re happy for you to have a friend or family member pick up your bouquet — just send them our way!

Long-Lasting Blooms

We harvest early in the morning, hydrate your flowers in clean water, and store them properly to give them the longest vase life possible. You’ll also receive tips on:

  • How to refresh cut stems

  • The best vases for different bouquet shapes

  • How to keep your blooms looking vibrant all week

A little care goes a long way.

A Connection to the Farm

Subscribers don’t just get flowers — you become part of the Wendland Family Farm story. You’ll enjoy:

  • A weekly peek into what’s growing

  • First dibs on special events, workshops, and U-Pick nights

  • Occasional surprises (think bonus stems or seasonal treats)

Being a subscriber means you’re supporting a small, local farm in a big way.

A Moment of Joy You Can Count On

Life is full, busy, and sometimes a little chaotic. A weekly bouquet is a gentle reminder to slow down, enjoy beautiful things, and bring a little nature inside. It’s one of the simplest ways to add joy to your home — and we love delivering that joy to you, week after week.
