Our Pepper Starts are grown from seed and cared for on the farm until they're ready to head home to your garden. Choose from available sweet, bell, jalapeño, hot, and specialty varieties for fresh eating, cooking, grilling, salsa, preserving, and more.

Available varieties change from year to year based on what we're growing and what performs well in our Iowa growing season.

Growing at Home

Peppers love sunshine and warm weather.

Plant outdoors after the danger of frost has passed and nighttime temperatures have warmed.

Choose a location with plenty of direct sunlight and well-drained soil.

Water consistently throughout the growing season, especially as plants begin flowering and setting fruit.

Some larger pepper plants may benefit from a small stake or cage as they become heavy with fruit.

We start these plants here on the farm, care for them through their earliest weeks, and send them home ready for the next part of their growing season in your garden.
