Farm-grown herbs ready for your garden, patio, or kitchen.

Grow fresh herbs at home with healthy starts grown right here at Wendland Family Farm.

Our Herb Starts are grown from seed or propagated and cared for on the farm until they're ready to head home with you. Choose from a changing selection of culinary, tea, aromatic, and specialty herbs for cooking, preserving, drinks, pollinators, and everyday garden use.

Whether you're planting a dedicated herb garden, tucking a few plants into your vegetable beds, or growing herbs in containers near the kitchen, these starts make it easy to begin.

Available varieties may include:

Basil • rosemary • thyme • oregano • parsley • lemon balm • mint • anise hyssop • sage • fennel • sweet marjoram • stevia • lavender • dill • cilantro • chives • bee balm • chamomile

Specific herbs and varieties will be listed as options when available.

Growing at Home

Growing needs vary by herb, but most appreciate plenty of sunshine and well-drained soil.

Many herbs also grow beautifully in containers, making them a great option for patios, porches, and smaller gardens.

Harvest regularly once plants are established to encourage continued growth. Different herbs have different growth habits, mature sizes, and cold tolerance, so check the needs of the variety you've selected when choosing its permanent home.

From Our Garden to Yours

Herbs are some of our favorite plants to grow because they don't ask for a huge garden to be useful.

A few plants outside the kitchen can become fresh basil for dinner, mint for a summer drink, rosemary for bread, chamomile for tea, or flowers buzzing with pollinators.

We grow these starts here on the farm so you can take them home, plant them, and discover all the ways a little herb garden can become part of everyday life.

Grown on our farm. Ready for your garden.
