Fresh from the herb garden. A summer kitchen staple.
Fresh-cut basil, grown and harvested right here at Wendland Family Farm.
Fragrant, tender, and full of fresh garden flavor, basil is one of those herbs that belongs in just about every summer kitchen. Tear it over fresh tomatoes, blend it into pesto, add it to pasta and pizza, or tuck a few leaves into your favorite summer drinks.
Our basil is harvested in small batches throughout the growing season so you can enjoy it fresh from our herb garden to your kitchen.
Ways to Use It
Pesto • pasta • pizza • tomato dishes • salads • bruschetta • soups • sauces • infused water • cocktails + mocktails
How to Keep It Fresh
Treat fresh basil a little like a bouquet.
Trim the stem ends and place the bunch in a jar with a small amount of fresh water. Keep at room temperature and change the water as needed.
Avoid refrigerating fresh basil when possible, as the leaves can darken from cold temperatures.
For longer preservation, basil can also be frozen or dried.
