Where We Grow
Children's Book Collection

“These stories teach us to notice, wonder, and grow — slowly with love.”
Where We Grow is a hardcover story collection following siblings Oliver and Harper as they grow up on a family farm shaped by seasons, memory, faith, and love.
These books are not meant to be rushed or read all at once.
They are meant to be returned to — one story at a time — during bedtime, quiet afternoons, and moments when the heart needs a gentle place to land.
Rooted in everyday farm life, these stories invite readers to notice what is often overlooked:
how patience grows, how families are formed, how hearts are shaped, and how becoming happens slowly, season by season.
Available in paperback and hardcover — ships January 2026.
Digital format available now.

These stories are woven from imagination, memory, and everyday moments rooted in real farm life. They are written with the belief that growth happens not only through doing — but through watching, listening, and being present.
This is where we grow.
About the Author
Grow curious. Grow kind. Grow rooted.
Erica Wendland is the author behind Where We Grow, a children’s story collection shaped by family life, faith, and the quiet lessons found in everyday moments. She writes from Wendland Family Farm, where growth is measured slowly and each season brings new opportunities to notice, learn, and care well.
Her stories are inspired by the belief that curiosity opens the door to understanding, kindness shapes how we move through the world, and strong roots give children the confidence to grow in every season of life. Through the characters of Oliver and Harper, Erica creates stories that invite readers to slow down, ask questions, and find meaning in the ordinary.

When she isn’t writing, Erica can often be found tending the fields, sharing meals with family, or watching small moments unfold into something lasting. Her work is rooted in the hope that stories can become steady companions — helping children and families grow together with patience, wonder, and care.
“Growth doesn’t happen all at once. It happens in moments —
when we notice, when we care, and when we choose to stay rooted.”
