  • Terms & What You're Signing Up For

By joining a Wendland Family Farm Flower Subscription (for yourself or as a gift), you agree to the following. We like to keep things simple, honest, and full of farm-love—so here’s what you need to know:

    Flower Subscription = CSA share

Your Spot in the "CSA" (community supported agriculture)

When you sign up and purchase a flower share, your spot is officially reserved. Because flowers take a lot of planning and love, we do not offer refunds once a share is purchased. If you can’t use your share, you’re welcome to find a friend to take it off your hands—they’ll love you for it!

If you’re gifting a CSA, you’ll get an email with instructions on how the recipient redeems it

    Seasonal Shares

Farming is magical, but it’s also unpredictable! Pick-up dates may change depending on weather, bloom times, or other natural surprises. We promise to keep you in the loop with emails. It’s your job to check your inbox, spam, and promotions tabs, and to add wendlandfamilyfarm@gmail.com to your contacts so you don’t miss updates.

If you don’t hear from us two weeks before your share starts, reach out—we’ve got your back.

    Flower Pick-Up

Your share is ready for pick-up during the designated time slot you signed up for. Can’t make it? No problem—send a friend! Flowers make everyone happy. If no one can pick up for you, you forfeit your share that week. We can’t hold flowers past pick-up time or outside the agreed window.

The Rewards & Risks of Farming

As a CSA member, you share in both the joys and surprises of farming.

    • Rewards: insanely fresh, gorgeous, and unique flowers.

    • Risks: weather, pests, droughts, floods, or other natural disasters may reduce or wipe out a harvest.

We do everything we can to grow beautiful, sustainably farmed flowers, and we’ve never failed our members—but sometimes, Mother Nature calls the shots.

    Flower Care

Flowers are perishable and amazing, with a typical vase life of 5-7+ days. We provide flower care tips with every share to help you enjoy them at their peak. Each variety is different, so lifespan varies. Once your flowers are in your hands, it’s your job to keep them happy—we can’t take responsibility for flowers that don’t last because of care after pick-up.

    Communication

All CSA info comes via wendlandfamilyfarm@gmail.com. Add us to your contacts and check spam/promotions tabs so you don’t miss updates.

    • If you don’t receive a receipt or CSA start emails within a week of your expected start date, let us know right away.

    • Missed emails = missed flowers. We aren’t responsible for flowers not picked up because of missed communication.

    Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

    What is a Flower Subscription?
It’s your weekly bouquet of joy! Each week you’ll receive a fresh, hand-designed arrangement filled with the season’s most beautiful blooms — no two bouquets are ever the same. Choose from 4, 6, 8, or 12 weeks of flowers!

    When do subscriptions start?
Our 2026 flower season typically begins in late spring and runs through summer. Exact start dates are announced closer to bloom time — everything depends on the weather and Mother Nature.

    How do I sign up?
    It’s easy!
    Order directly on our website.
Or message us on Facebook — payment can be made via Venmo, cash, or check.

Can I give a subscription as a gift?
Absolutely! Flower subscriptions make the perfect gift for birthdays, anniversaries, Mother’s Day, or just because. We can even provide a gift certificate for you to give!

Where do I pick up my bouquets?
Pickup is at Wendland Family Farm or at select local pickup spots (details announced before the season starts).

    Are quantities limited?
Yes! We only offer a limited number of spots each year to ensure quality and care for every bouquet. They sell out every season — so don’t wait!

  • Bloom Care Guide

Each bouquet is hand-picked to highlight the best blooms of the season. Follow these simple steps to make your flowers last as long as possible and enjoy their beauty every day.

    1. Prep Your Flowers

    • Strip off any leaves that will fall below the waterline to prevent bacteria growth.

    • Give each stem a fresh diagonal cut (about 1/2 inch) using clean scissors or pruning shears. This opens the stems to absorb water more efficiently.

    2. Choose the Right Vase (or jar!)

    • Pick a vase large enough to give stems room to breathe.

    • Clean the vase thoroughly to avoid bacteria that shortens flower life.

    • Fill with fresh, cool water and add floral preservative (recommended).

    3. Daily Flower Care

    • Change the water every 1-2 days.

    • Trim stems about 1/4 inch each time you change the water.

    • Remove any wilted or browning flowers promptly — this keeps the remaining blooms healthy.

    4. Placement Tips

    • Keep flowers away from direct sunlight, heat vents, and fruit bowls.

    • A cool spot in your home helps flowers last longer.

    • Avoid drafts from fans or open windows.

    5. Bonus Tips for Longevity

    • A little sugar or floral preservative in the water (1 tsp per cup) can nourish blooms.

    • A drop of bleach or a floral preservative can slow bacteria growth.

    • Mist delicate petals with water occasionally for extra freshness.

    6. Enjoy!

Take time each day to admire your blooms — fresh flowers not only brighten your home but also your heart.
